Max’s smirk faltered. Everyone in the city knew Dr. Leo Reed, the director of the reproductive - medicine center.

Dr. Leo Reed looked at Max, then at the child. “I have the final laboratory report,” he declared.

Max’s face tightened. “What report?” he demanded, trying to sound confident.

Dr. Leo Reed said calmly, “The report proving that Ella was never infertile.” Silence filled the corridor.

Max quickly tried to regain his composure. “That’s impossible,” he snapped. “We spent four years trying.”

“We spent four years following reports you controlled,” Ella replied firmly, meeting his stare.

Max’s eyes darted towards Luna. Ella knew he was panicking.

After the divorce, Ella found her normal ovarian reserve and healthy uterus in the full medical file. The sperm had issues.

Max had bribed an administrator to alter reports, making Ella think it was her fault.

Luna, as the foundation’s finance director, helped Max steal money from Ella.

Max stepped closer, trying to intimidate. “You can’t prove any of that,” he said.

Dr. Leo Reed raised the envelope. “The hospital’s audit can,” he stated, shattering Max’s false bravado.

The Truth Unfolds

After the divorce, I requested my full medical file. The archive revealed my ovarian reserve was normal and my uterus healthy. But sperm samples had severe issues.

The original specialist recommended donor sperm. Instead, Max bribed a clinic administrator to change the summary pages. He made me think the failures were mine.

He wanted me ashamed and worn - out. So I'd sign away my share in our company during the divorce. It was all part of his cruel plan.

Luna also played a dirty role. As the foundation's finance director, she copied my signature on transfer documents.

She moved almost two million dollars into a consulting firm she secretly owned with Max. They stole my hard - earned money.

They didn't just betray me. They built their new family on the money they took from me. It was despicable.

I recalled the night I signed the settlement. Max placed a pen by my hand and whispered about dignity. Luna waited outside feigning care.

By sunrise, they owned almost everything I'd spent twelve years creating. It felt like a nightmare come true.

Max stepped closer, insisting I couldn't prove anything. But he was about to face the truth.

Dr. Leo Reed raised the envelope, saying the hospital's audit could prove it all. Max's confidence started to waver.

Luna's voice trembled as she reminded Max he said the records were gone. His angry response showed their cracks.

I took out my phone and told them the clinic administrator had confessed. He gave evidence to investigators.

Max's arrogance turned ugly as he accused me of spying. I calmly told him I'd been working with the district attorney.

Max's Denial

Max tried to regain his composure, his eyes narrowing as he scoffed. "That's impossible. We spent years trying to have a child," he declared, his voice laced with desperation.

I stared back at him, my resolve unwavering. "We followed reports you controlled. You manipulated everything," I retorted, my tone cold and firm.

Max's eyes darted towards Luna, seeking some form of support. Luna, however, looked pale and terrified, clutching the baby closer to her chest.

Dr. Leo Reed held up the envelope. "The hospital's audit has all the evidence," he stated, his voice calm and authoritative.

Max's face turned red with anger. "You can't just come in here and make these baseless accusations," he shouted, his hands balled into fists.

Luna's voice quivered as she spoke. "Max, you said the records were gone," she murmured, her eyes filled with fear and doubt.

Max's head whipped around, and he barked at her, "Shut up!" The harshness in his voice was palpable.

I took out my phone, showing them the messages and files. "The clinic administrator confessed. He gave investigators everything," I said, watching their reactions closely.

Max's arrogance crumbled, replaced by a look of shock and disbelief. "You've been working against us?" he demanded, his voice rising.

I shook my head. "I've been seeking justice. You and Luna stole from me and built your new life on lies," I replied, my voice steady.

Max stepped forward, his expression menacing. "This is all a mistake. You'll regret this," he threatened, his eyes blazing with anger.

Dr. Leo Reed stepped in front of me, his stance protective. "I suggest you calm down and face the truth," he said, his gaze fixed on Max.

The Final Blow

Ella took a deep breath and held up her phone. “The clinic administrator confessed six weeks ago,” she said firmly. “He gave investigators the proof we needed.”

Max’s eyes widened in shock. “You can’t be serious,” he scoffed, trying to regain his composure. “This is all a lie.”

Ella shook her head. “In exchange for a reduced sentence. He handed over the altered files. Bank transfers. And your messages,” she explained.

Luna clutched the baby tighter, her face pale. “Max, you said the records were gone,” she whispered, her voice trembling.

Max snapped at her, “Shut up!” His anger was evident, and his facade was starting to crumble.

Ella continued, “I’ve been working with the district attorney. They have all the evidence to put you both behind bars.”

Max’s arrogance turned to desperation. “You’ve been spying on us,” he accused, his voice rising.

Ella met his gaze. “No, I’ve been seeking justice,” she replied calmly. “You both stole from me and built your new life on lies.”

Dr. Leo Reed stepped forward. “The hospital’s audit confirms everything,” he said, holding up the envelope.

Max’s face turned red with rage. “This can’t be happening,” he muttered, as if in disbelief.

Luna started to cry. “What are we going to do?” she wailed, looking at Max for answers.

Ella watched them, feeling no pity. “You both will face the consequences of your actions,” she said, her voice steady.

With that. The truth was out. And the final blow had been delivered to Max. Luna’s false world.
